Established by the Education Bureau, the FTSS Scheme provides scholarship, at an amount of HK$100,000, for meritorious local students to pursue postgraduate training in priority areas that are beneficial to Hong Kong’s strategic development.

Scholarship Amount

The total scholarship amount is capped at HK$100,000 per awardee for the entire programme, irrespective of the actual length of study.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a local student newly admitted in the academic year 2026/27 to the MSc-RA Programme, either in full-time or part-time mode.
• The applicant must fulfill both the University’s and MSc-RA programme-specific entrance requirements, including the English proficiency requirement.
• Students who are receiving other forms of government scholarships, including the Continuing Education Fund (excluding student financial assistance) for pursuing the same programme will not be considered.

Selection Criteria 

The selection of scholarships awardees will be conducted through a centralized and merit-based mechanism. The assessment criteria include but are not limited to the following:

• Professional Qualifications
• Language Proficiency
• Interview Performance
• Relevant Work Experience
• Achievement in other areas
